My birthday was over a month ago now and I have to say the age shook me- just a little….All the boxes in my life for the mo are currently ticked, but when filling in a simple survey I was spun off my axis- I’d moved up to the next box!!! You know when they bracket your age into groups, well I’d moved up to my scary box and it was the first time that age became more than a number to me!!

I travelled a hell of a lot in my previous life as an EP in music television. I know both myself, talent and crew would always travel with way to much excess baggage!! Nothing is more exhausting than hauling heavy suitcases in transit and it can really be a kill-joy.

We’ve made it through the frostier months and I know I’m damn ready to expose some skin and not have to think about how many thermals I need to have on to get out and about!! Yes it’s nice to need a beautiful big coat for a while, but after a month I’m already over it, and am craving the freedom to just have on a tee! Last week I was lucky enough to see NYC comedy veteran Jerry Seinfeld live in Sydney. He’s in brilliant form putting on the funniest top witted stand-up comedy show I’ve seen to date! It was so weird to have him live front & centre rather than sitting on the couch at home with his crazy NYC world playing out on the tiny screen!

While I’m sure most of you have already seen the entire ‘Game Of Thrones’ series to date, or read the books, I’ve finally after much persuasion commenced the ‘Game Of Thrones’ journey and so far I’m finding it all pretty disturbing. I’m not being dramatic with my reaction- it just really is very, how you say, ‘in your face’ from start to end!!

Last week my son Jed said to me ‘Are you assuming my gender??’!!! What the??? I let him know that yes at this point in time I was assuming his gender as I did give birth to two boys and he was one of them LOL!!! Gender stereotyping is a hot topic in every way right now, with fashion right at the forefront on how we think about presenting ourselves be it the male or female or otherwise.

This week my clan finished watching Parks & Recreation- all 7 series and I have to say I’m sad the experience is over!! Yes we were late bloomers to discover this hilarious show set in the fictional US town of Pawnee and all the crazy cats that live there, but nonetheless I’m so glad we decided to to give it a go all these years later.
