Well Easter is here!! How great to have four days off (if you’re lucky) to do whatever takes your fancy! I’m off to the annual Bluesfest music festival in Byron Bay to see some fantastic music with friends and I can’t wait. Some of my fav acts are playing from The National, Kendrick Lamar to The Blind Boys of Alabama!

Well here in Sydney it’s been one hot month!! There’s no sign of a change in season as yet. Plants are confused whether they should be flowering or losing their leaves, the kids keep asking me if it’s still summer; and to be honest, I’m dying to wear a fab new jacket I purchased. I’ve been crossing all my fingers for some respite from the heat to give it a run!!

Well February is a big month from coast to coast in America. LA has seen music’s night of nights The Grammys take place, and of course New York Fashion Week is about to wrap for the Winter/ Fall 2016 shows.

It’s fantastic to have fun with fashion, and I love the tongue in cheek poke at the sometimes pretentious industry. It’s a great reminder that fashion is about feeling good in what you wear, you’re not saving lives when you get up and get dressed in the morning!!

A few weeks back I was in Melbourne for a music event and took the opportunity to explore the David Bowie Exhibition at ACME. It was a fantastic journey through Bowie’s career in music, and the visual tie ins with fashion that created the mystique behind Bowie’ genius.

The entire world and indeed myself mourn the deaths of the innocent in the recent senseless killing of so many in Paris. With more and more coming to light in the aftermath of the terror attacks, one can only hope that the world might one day again continue to live with the joy and freedom we have the right to as human beings.

I had a massive collection of Barbie dolls growing up. I had every type of Barbie; Malibu Barbie, Superstar Barbie, plus the caravan, pool, horse, Ken doll and many other Barbie accessories. She was my muse like millions of others , even Andy Warhol payed homage to the queen of the dolls. This is definitely where I started to develop a real interest in the art of fashion

A few days back I went to see the legendary Fleetwood Mac in concert, full band lineup front and centre. It was truly one of the best shows I’ve seen! I couldn’t get over how amazing they were musically, hit after hit just kept coming, and they looked incredible!! Stevie now 67, Christine McVie who came back to the band after 16 years 73, still so stylish, fit and loving life!

During recent travels to Europe with my family, we explored the English countryside with close friends whom we miss dearly from Byron Bay, that have moved to Cornwall for a new life. Oh course I found some cool items travelling too.
